health insurance increases. In consequence, a rising proportion of health care will be privately financed.

Health care participants increasingly face a dynamic market environment. Particularly medical practitioners and
hospitals have to act more and more as businesses and improve their services at the same time.

Manufacturers of medical equipment and supplies are required to support practitioners by innovative products and
services and to contribute to the economic success of their customers. This can happen e.g. by the increased use of IT.
